The stages of hair development
Hair develops in three stages, with each strand having its own timetable. These are the three stages:
anagen: hair’s active growth phase, which lasts 2–8 years.
catagen: a 4-6-week period during which hair stops growing.
telogen: hair comes out during this resting phase, which lasts about 2-3 months.
