The commandant of the Nigeria Civil And Security Defence Corp (NSCDC), Imo state command, corp commandant Ibrahim Raji has charged residents of the state to live up to expectations by complying with the compulsory environmental cleanup exercise elicited by the state government.
The NSCDC boss made the call in an interaction with journalists while enforcing compliance during the exercise in Owerri the state capital.
He admonished the people to key fully into the policy and join in the fight against global warming by keeping the environment clean and devoid of any form of pollution.
Speaking further commandant Ibrahim Raji commended the Emeka Ihedioha led Imo state state government for his decision to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that estate gets cleaned and it’s serene environment restored.
He promise to keep supporting the cause by way of providing the needed security manpower to enforce compliance each time the exercise comes up.
He maintained that health is wealth and only a clean and serene environment will guarantee such.
