Another case of Zika virus has resurfaced in Singapore according to report released by The National Environments Agency (NEA)
Report published on the NEA website revealed the case which was diagnosed on 18th of January was the first since September 2017 when the disease was believed to have been eradicated from the country.
The agency however disclosed the new case is an isolated one as there are no new cases reported across the country.
The virus, which is spread by infected Aedes mosquito, has been linked with neurological diseases and birth defects such as microcephaly, which causes babies to be born with a smaller head due to abnormalities in brain development.
