Corporate farmers International (CFI) has launched an agricultural innovative platform called ‘agrotainment radio.’ This platform is set to create a wider and larger platform for the agribusiness industry.
The Managing Partner of CFI, Akin Alabi, in a chat with newsmen in Lagos, disclosed that the mobile App is a 24 hours agribusiness radio which is aimed to provide an avenue where farmers across Nigeria, Africa and other parts of the world connect to each other under one roof and platform using the media.
The platform will give Nigerian and African farmers a voice to speak and be heard and would provide a platform to link sellers of agricultural product in Nigeria and Africa to buyers in any country in the world.
“The mobile app gives you an opportunity to showcase your product and services, provide an opportunity to get first-hand information on sponsors or grants for your agricultural project.
It is also a platform to further grow Nigeria and Africa’s agricultural extension services and provide a 24 hours knowledge sharing platform on various agricultural enterprise and value chain,” he added.
Adding to this, the National Coordinator of CFI, Ade Ajayi, said that the application was more tilted towards the youths who would later incorporate the older farmers in the rural farming communities.
“We know not all farmers have an android phone but we are hoping that the youths involved in farming will pass the message to their older counterparts. We are using the younger ones to get the older ones.
“Farmers voices need to be heard and we are also using this platform to reach out to a wider audience and also grow the agricultural extension services,” he added.
Also, Dr Olufemi Adebayo, Director of CFI noted that the future of the African continent is here for everyone to take advantage of every opportunity and make people express themselves and showcase themselves to the world.
The application is available on Google Play Store for Android mobile phone users.
