Beverly Naya is one of the few actresses that are proud of their black skin and natural afro and are not afraid to flaunt it on or off camera.
Beverly Naya I undoubtedly a beautiful woman whatever standard you want to judge with. But according to this beautiful thespian, the journey has not always been smooth as she had to survive some acts of bullying for her black skin.
Speaking on a documentary she is working on titled ‘Skin’, Beverly revealed some discoveries she made from some people she interacted with, most especially popular bleaching cream merchant and crossdresser Bobrisky are shocking, to say the least.
She said she Bobrisky opened up to her about the challenges he is facing as a cross-dresser and maintaining a toned skin.
Beverly said, “As an industry, we need to diversify. As a person, I need to impact on people. I grew up in a very difficult situation. I was bullied and mocked for my skin. The same problem is trending and I have to contribute my best to stop it.
“I interviewed about 30 people, including Bobrisky, for this project and I had the opportunity to travel to my home town, Delta, for the first time. I aim at being Nigeria’s prolific documentary expert.”
